2nd Edition of NASA Internships for Portuguese Students

Applications are now open for the 2nd edition of Call for the attribution of Studentships Research Internships at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the USA (NASA), aimed at students of Portuguese nationality. Applications will be accepted until December 18 and will be accepted up to six Studentships internships.

This internship program takes place under a cooperation agreement signed in 2016 between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES), FCT and NASA, which allowed Portugal to integrate the International Internship Program of the North American space agency.

Students pursuing doctoral or master's degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and pursuing academic work with a special focus on space are eligible to apply to Studentships . The internship opportunities encompass 18 NASA research projects that applicants may attend. Selected students will attend internships between June and December 2018.

In the first edition of Call of internships at NASA six Portuguese students were selected, who are currently in the USA and will conclude their training period at the end of this year.
