European Commission published guide on interactions between European and regional funds

The European Commission published on July 5 a practical guide to the synergies between the Horizon Europe funding program (2021-2017) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programs.

The guide, addressed primarily to the managing authorities of the Cohesion programmes and to the national contact points and promoters of Horizon Europe, identifies the new mechanisms to operationalize the complementarity between Horizon Europe and regional funds - the so-called synergies - and covers the legal and practical details of their implementation. These new mechanisms include the Seal of Excellence, transfer, cumulative funding, institutionalized and co-funded partnerships, and combined funding(teaming).
