FCT Directive Council requests substitution

Taking into consideration the content of the terms of reference for the Reflection Group on the Future of the Foundation for Science and Technology and the suspension of the launching of all FCT initiatives previously planned and already announced to the scientific community, the FCT Board of Directors makes it known that, in accordance with the law, on December 29th it delivered a letter of resignation to the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

This letter requests that the replacement of the Board of Directors be made as soon as possible, preferably before the legal maximum of three months from the end of the term of office. This ended on December 31, 2015.

In the period following the end of its mandate, the FCT Board of Directors will continue to perform its duties, within the established limits, in order to ensure ongoing projects and FCT activity.
