COVID-19: #EUVSVIRUS HACKATHON

The European Commission, in close collaboration with all EU member states, is promoting from today, April 24, until next April 26, the #EUvsVirus Hackathon. The initiative seeks to involve civil society, the public sector, innovators and investors in the development of innovative short-term solutions in the context of the COVID-19 challenges.

In Portugal, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, is the national ambassador of this computer marathon, which already has about 600 Portuguese registered.

The Hackathon has several challenges that are subdivided into themes such as: health (protective equipment, ventilators, rapid tests, skills, research); business continuity (business models, value chains, employment protection); social and political cohesion (protection of groups at risk or isolated, fake news, protection of the arts and cultural life); work and distance education; application of digital to the financial world (crowdfunding, solutions in terms of health insurance, mechanisms to access financial support for the economy).

The best ideas will be presented on an "EIC Covid Platform" that will be available before the award ceremony scheduled for April 30.

Participate and develop your ideas.
