Under the theme "COVID 19 and Gender Equality: Research on the Impacts of the Pandemic and Contributions to Public Policies", FCT and the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) promote, on March 23rd and 24th 2021, between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm, an online workshop that will focus on the special support to research projects "GENDER RESEARCH 4 COVID 19" launched by FCT. Open registration here and program here.

In this workshop will participate 15 of the projects approved for funding, presenting the ongoing research on the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic in the lives of women and men. The workshop is organized around the three thematic lines covered by this support: labor market; daily life, stereotypes and gender roles; violence against women and domestic violence. The workshop will be moderated by Fernanda Henriques (U. Évora) and Manuel Abrantes (CESIS), with the participation of commentators Anália Torres (ISCSP), Heloísa Perista (CESIS), Vanessa Cunha (ICS) and Carla Cerqueira (U. Minho).

The special support GENDER RESEARCH 4 COVID-19, for research projects on the impact of the health emergency caused by COVID-19 on gender inequalities and violence against women and domestic violence, was promoted by FCT, in conjunction with the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality and the support of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG). It aimed to fund projects and initiatives that enable the production and dissemination of knowledge about the gender impacts of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the dissemination of contingency plans and measures adopted to contain and resolve it.
