FCCN Days in February

The FCCN 2014 Conference will take place next February, on the 5th, 6th and 7th, at the University of Évora. This event is the main annual meeting point for the entities that make up the national community of higher education and research, including those responsible for technical IT services, archivists and librarians.

The Science, Technology and Society Network (RCTS), the b-On - online knowledge library, the Open Access Scientific Repository of Portugal (RCAAP) or the video services available to the scientific community, are some of the themes highlighted during the conference.

In the 2014 edition, the program brings together 46 speakers from 19 different institutions, in 57 interventions distributed over two plenary sessions, 11 working meetings and 6 workshops. The program also brings some new features in relation to previous years: the number of plenary sessions has been extended and several workshops will be available. A 'Meet the geek' space has also been created to be used as a direct meeting point with experts in the various areas of FCCN's activities. There will also be several challenges aimed at participants that take place during the three days of the event.

Registration is open until February 2. More information on registration, detailed program, logistical information and accommodation is available at http://jornadas.fccn.pt/.
