New FAQ about Studentships directly funded by FCT

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), given the need to clarify grant recipients in relation to their status and how to effectively exercise their rights, has put together a new set of FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) to answer the questions most frequently asked by directly funded research grant recipients.

The questions and answers were systematized by themes: regime of exclusive dedication, changes in the conditions of Studentship, parenthood and general issues. This set of new FAQ gathers answers to the most common doubts of grant recipients identified by FCT services in contacts received. The purpose of the FAQ is to help grantees obtain answers to their doubts in a quicker and more direct way. Grant recipients should therefore always check first if their question or doubt is already answered in this FAQ and follow the instructions given, especially with regard to the elements that they should gather and include in the requests or questions sent by email, so that the request can be presented clearly and properly instructed, thus contributing to a more efficient management of the processes of Studentship.

The present FAQ will be updated whenever it is justified, so it is recommended to consult it periodically when new doubts arise. The FAQ is intended to be a fundamental instrument to facilitate communication and promote efficiency in the management of the processes of Studentship and the research work of the grant recipients.
