"One Sustainable Ocean

From June 27 to July 1, in parallel with the 2nd United Nations Conference on the Ocean, the One Sustainable Ocean initiative will take place, anchored in two main events - Ocean Science and Business2sea and Ocean Literacy Week - which will include a wide range of activities in different spaces in the city of Lisbon.

The program includes workshops, exhibitions, film, art, music, debates, demonstrations, and business, with the purpose of broadening knowledge and awareness about the importance of the ocean, promoting its sustainable use and demonstrating the opportunities it can represent, as well as providing numerous opportunities to share about the future of the ocean, sustainability, circular economy, science, blue economy business models, and innovation.

FCT, together with the Lisbon City Council, Fórum Oceano, and Pavilhão do Conhecimento - Centro Ciência Viva, among other entities, is involved in the organization of the One Sustainable Ocean initiative, more specifically in the space dedicated to science - Ocean Science and Business2sea - taking place under the Pavilion of Portugal Pavilion in Parque das Nações.

The Ocean Science and Business2sea sub-event is an opportunity to highlight and value the work and action that Portugal has been developing in the areas of science, innovation and blue entrepreneurship, projecting the country nationally and internationally. The overall objective of Ocean Science and Business2sea is to present the developments in knowledge, as well as technological developments and their applications, in scientific and business contexts, in favor of the sustainability of the Ocean and how these are contributing to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, namely to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14.

Admission is free, but registration is required.
