Portugal and Luxembourg reinforce bilateral scientific cooperation

The FCT and the National Research Fund of Luxembourg (FNR) signed, on April 5, a Memorandum of Understanding that encourages bilateral scientific cooperation between the two countries. The agreement between the FCT and the FNR thus allows for the support of joint research between two countries, which for decades have maintained important socio-economic relations.

Through this Memorandum, research teams will be able to develop their joint projects in the fields of Materials Sciences, Biomedical and Health Sciences, Sustainable Resource Management, Service Innovation, and Societal Challenges. The FNR and the FCT will finance the Luxembourg and Portuguese components of the approved applications, respectively, and in accordance with the financial practices of each institution.
