The Call for the attribution of Studentships of Technological Internships for Associated Engineers at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) is open until February 9. This Call, which takes place under a protocol between FCT and CERN, aims to provide young Portuguese researchers the opportunity to undertake advanced training in that international scientific organization of reference.

The Technological Internships for Associate Engineers at CERN are intended for candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree obtained less than 6 years ago, or with a doctoral degree obtained less than 3 years ago, in scientific and technological areas in the fields of competence of CERN. Applicants must be fluent in English and the duration of Studentship is one year, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of two years, subject to approval by FCT.

This training opportunity at CERN is part of the FCT's Technological Internships Program for advanced training of young Portuguese in major International Scientific Organizations, which also include the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and the European Space Agency (ESA). It is intended that in these internships the candidates develop a plan of complementary training (on-the-job training) in strategic technological areas for increasing the competitiveness of Portuguese companies.
