4.th GDI Forum

The Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco will host the 4.th GDI Forum, on 16 November, 2018.

The initiative seeks to promote ideas, emerging initiatives, projects and best practices to support research data management, bringing together managers of digital repositories and data centers, information technicians, libraries, data archives and data curators, computer specialists, researchers, data scientists and science managers of research institutions, science funding agencies and others. The objective is to stimulate and mobilize the community of professionals and researchers who work in this area, encouraging the development of skills and the capitalization of knowledge and experience.

The programme includes “Flash Talks”, which for proposals can be submitted until 10 September. In these talks, participants can learn more about initiatives, best practices and projects associated with the support of research data management.

The 4.th GDI Forum is organised by Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, by FCT- Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, through its FCCN unit, and by Universidade do Minho. The forum integrates the National Policy for Open Science and the activities of RCAAP.

– Submission of proposals: 11 June to 10 September
– Results: 17 September
– Registration of participants: 2 July to 12 November
