CoLAB: Next panel meeting to be held on 20 April

The next meeting of the evaluation panel of the Call for the Assignment of the Title and Designation of Collaborative Laboratory (CoLAB) will take place on 20 April. Due to the limited number of public presentations that can be made at each meeting, the panel will evaluate the first 10 proposals submitted by 23 March. FCT will report on its website when that number is reached.

The remaining proposals submitted by 23 March will be evaluated at the next panel meeting, which is expected to take place during the first half of 2018. FCT highlights that all proposals will be evaluated. The only limitation is related to the number of proposals that can be presented and discussed at a one-day public session, such as the one planned for 20 April. All proposals not publicly presented on that date will be presented at a second session.

In January, FCT announced the results of the evaluation of the first applications submitted to the call, which approved the decision to award the CoLAB title to six of the seven applications submitted by November 15, 2017.
